Could not be happier at the moment for Tristen. I know the TWolves are loaded at guard, but I would love it if somehow and some way he could earn a multi year contract. The guy can play and would be a good guy off the bench for 8-10 minutes a game.

He went crazy in his final summer league game but otherwise had a really rough time. The Wolves PG spot is questionable with Conley just getting older and worse. They do have Dillingham and are loaded with SGs (Ant/Donte/TSJ). Maybe this is their low-risk way of taking a flyer on a big PG and see if it hits

Newton played well in the G League last year. He’ll have a lot of minutes to prove himself there next year. And a half million dollar contract ain’t too bad. Congrats Tristen!!

Good for him!! By the way this is yet another writer declaring that Tristen was the MOP of the 2024 Final Four. Although i personally believed Tristen deserved the honor, it actually went to Adama.

He was the MOP of the 2024 FF, it's the 2023 FF that people commonly get wrong. I blame Ernie Johnson for that.

Wrong….,Adama won it in 23, Tristen won it in 24. Adana wasn’t even on the team in 24!

I actually thought they got the final four MOP wrong both years. I would have picked Newton over Sanogo in 23 and Castle over Newton in 2024. We pulled away at the end but the Bama semifinal in 2024 was probably the one game in that two year run where I thought there was a real chance of losing. Castle having his best game in a Husky uniform was a major reason they won. He was really good against Purdue as well.
