“…Duke has five-star prospects out the wazoo on this roster. Six to be exact. NBA executives will be watching Duke closely all year, but Duke doesn’t have the most NBA talent in the country.

UConn does.”

If they’re talking overall over multiple years I can definitely see that.

Clingan and Castle are first rounders this year.

I can see Ball and Ross for sure as future first rounders. The rest of the freshman class and Samson has a chance too.

Karaban is a possibility too depending on how the NBA views him.

That's basically what he's getting at.

He wrote this some paragraphs after:

“People associate UConn with getting good recruits but they haven’t put them in the conversation recently with Duke, Kentucky, Kansas and North Carolina for getting the best of the best,” 247Sports’ national basketball director Eric Bossi said. “If they get Flagg after getting Stephon Castle, they have to be considered in that class of the elite recruiters.”

2 lottery picks and 7 draftables
And Duke probably has similar honestly. But for this next draft we probably beat them in quality, if not quantity.

Ball will be a lottery pick someday. Likely after next season.

He is not playing this year. Of course he will stir whatever drink he chooses.

They are talking about this year's rosters - not past years results in the drafts
If you were going modern era historically (past 20 years) - Kentucky wins hands down with more productive NBA players
UConn certainly is filled this year with draftable NBA talent
