I believe it. Solomon had no intentions on keeping the Rock Cats in New Britain. As soon as Hartford heard he was scouting out locations in Massachusetts, they contacted him about the possibility of moving the team there.
If Solomon was so interested in "renewal discussions", why was he talking to Pedro Segarra and his cronies mere months after purchasing the Rock Cats? You'd think a man like him wouldn't give up that fast. Do you have any sources backing up your claims he actually was communicating with the city...
And lastly, how can the mayor give Solomon anything if he kept everything a secret from her and the city of New Britain? hmm?
City Emails Shed Light On Early Rock Cats Talks
Where exactly does it say Solomon reached to Mayor Stewart for anything? Every article I have read over the past few years claims that Solomon never reached out to her once before the move was announced. She wasn't even aware of his intentions until she found out in June 2014 along with everyone...
That's just it, most people (casual fans and families with children) who go to MiLB games don't really care how good or bad the baseball is. If you asked a family that's seen both the Bees and Goats, they probably couldn't tell you the difference between the two.
Indy baseball isn't the "garbage" some people make it out to be. Yes, it's not the same caliber you would see at the MiLB level but it's also light-years above rec softball.
At least you actually went to a game. There was a Goats "fan", who was a contributor to a blog called "Bleating Hartford", who talked so much crap about New Britain and the Bees. I know for a fact he's never stepped foot in New Britain Stadium since the Rock Cats left.
My buddy used to work for them and gave me a stack of ticket vouchers. Yeah it was pathetic how many free tickets were given out but it was also nice not having to pay to get in.
Even though it's a sure bet the USL is coming to Hartford, this one is for all leftover NASL fanboys out there...
Report: Indy Eleven to join USL in 2018
More like backfiring on you.:p
ThePuppyPound currently has a superjohn because there's a good chance any future team could be named in honor of the Failers but what he keeps forgetting is there's also a good chance the team could be affiliated with the Revs (who are owned by Kraft). And he's...
PR boy...HAHA! Well excuse me for supporting the one proposal that obviously would get chosen by the CRDA.
BTW how's NASL doing? Still unsanctioned and unstable? LMAO
Unless you've been living under a rock (which I suspect most Failers fans do), Hartford hasn't been "bigtime" in over 2 decades. The minors have taken over brother lol.
That's just it, I don't hate Hartford. Anyone who says something perceived as being "negative" about the Failers is labeled a "Hartford hater." Hell, I know long time WP season ticket holders who have been labeled as "Hartford haters." Just because we don't share your Failers delusions doesn't...
Looks like Failers fans are going to pretend to "support" Hartford soccer if any future squad is named in honor of their dead team. What makes this Facebook post very comical is this clown doesn't even give two craps about soccer. Well, the joke is on them. Mandell has been in talks with the...
