They were a really tough team @ home during the season. Their problem was their early season non-conf struggles where they dropped 4 out of 5. But they proved they could get it done away from home against GA and Indiana St.
Our AD reminds me of my dad. "He needs the stiffest bed you've got". Hearing the NCAA offered individual rooms but we turned them down to promote comradery.
In his defense he did make a bunch of those head scratchers, and they did out punt their coverage without returning their other 4 starters. But he is a volume shooter and probably not the right fit for us. I'm not privy of his other issues. Surely Danny will pass if problematic.
For all we know, the NCAA may have warned us that Wednesday would be our backup flight day like for the other 3 teams. And we chose it as our primary flight day.
If you're 7'-0" tall and flying red-eye on a crappy little plane with potential for turbulence in a storm, that can be an unenjoyable experience.
Did the portable washer get carried on? Danny might need it sooner than later.
Does UConn not have someone who's job is to coordinate travel with the NCAA and ensure our best interests are considered? Does that person not know the horrors of airplane travel these days and didn't lobby for us to be booked out a day before like everyone else because NE weather sucks? Very...
You can take the player out of Louisville, but can you take the Louisville out of the player?
Will he be jacking up critical late game 3's like Jae'lyn Withers?
I liked him at Tennessee as a freshmen, but haven't heard much of him since. I thought he would've been better by now, but seems like he was too much of a classic power forward. Thunderous dunks, some post moves, but not much outside game. Not sure about D. He also seems to be a jpurney man.
The best thing about not having a sole superstar is that the pressure is collective. If someone has an off night for us, 5 others can step up. If Terrence Shannon has an off-night, Illinois is fubar'd
Not all excellent this season, but one of the episodes I was on gummies and laughed the hardest I've laughed in a couple years.
You have to appreciate sarcasm to appreciate Larry. He's not for the sensitive, anal-retentive type.
