Unfortunately, it's been that way around here for a while. Really makes you wonder what goes on inside some people's heads. UConn is getting kicked in the teeth on virtually every message board (CR and otherwise) that's around. I guess that's not enough for some people - they need to bring it...
Clemson is very good and their skill position players, especially Sammy Watkins are speedy. The QB is good.
FSU will have some problems with Clemson's offense and vice versa.......we'll see how it shakes out in two weeks...at Clemson (a real home field advantage stadium).
Clowney is not overrated in the slightest. His backlash reminds me of when people were down on Adrian Peterson at Oklahoma.
The biggest problem is not letting kids declare for the draft when they want to.

Unless someone on this board has experience coaching college OL there is no way to judge the talent level we have on the OL.
Most have no idea the situation our OL was put in with GDL.
There will be improvement as the year goes on. How much remains to be seen. But, IMHO, it will be...
Possibly the reason FHC lost the motivation factor right away, and the reason the team can play better now.
The old & gray cloud has been lifted, lets play ball!
I am a huge fan of the blocking scheme you mentioned. Create space by pulling your lineman. I love the sweep pulling the front side guard and tackle. Love counter trap/tre. Switching from what worked for 10 years was mind boggling.

BLUF...you're wrong to group all of the O line together. What should be done is "open up the competition" to those who actually know what to look for in O line play.
I will never understand his demotion. And it was 100% a demotion. Just a fantastic coach who deserved better. I am thankful he didn't walk away after that slap in the face.

Anyone who watched the O line has to see it wasn't just scheme. We are lacking talent here. The hope is that Coach Foley, unlike GDL, identifies the talent issue, and caters the blocking to help out. And I would open up the competition at all 5 spots.

If I was old enough to afford a Bosworth jersey I would have had one of those as well. He played at Oklahoma when I first was there during my elementary years. I didn't have the jersey but I had the haircut.

He was right. Hathaway is the one who made his letter public. He knows a lot more about football than many of us gave him credit for. WM should call him and get his input for sure.

This is a day to rejoice. PP, while a nice guy, was a terrible fit from day one. WM finally cleared up Hathaway's mess. There is hope again in Storrs.

Agreed. From everything I have read, Coach P is a good man. He needed to be fired, but I am not going to insult him.

...been here for a bit and nany want a complete cleanse of tbe PP control. TJ could represent that for the rest of the season. Is he the long term answer? My guess is no but why not give him the gig for now. HH has proved nothing and has been here a long time.

It is arguable. They are both horrible coaches. Let's try to get a good coach this time around. Not Lane Kiffin.
