Of course UConn is worth that. But so far with reduced shares, there is a timeframe that passes where the schools eventually earn a full share. Is UConn worth an eventual full-share payout to the B1G? That is the better question.

flugaur has just reported that The B1G payout will go to $90 million plus for most members in 2026. It sounds like a new addition would either have to be worth big media money or take a much smaller share...a methodology already in place.

So basically the rent would just fill with fans from the visiting team. I think the best fit is the ACC. Even in a paired down group of teams the fit would make the most sense for UConn.

I think anything can be negotiated. The issue, of course, is no one wants our football program. So we would have to be creative in our negotiations. ...and at the same time -- as a public institution -- you need to make your school accessible to the general public. Someone mentioned the B1G schools but you need to account for the fact that those schools are massive and that there are multiple other options for a world-class university...

And always a huge problem with B1G institutions. Penn State gets less than 5% of its funding from the state. This is why PSU refused to provide transparent documents of funding to state legislatures. It operates as a private university.
