Probably the most complete game I’ve seen from Solo. That block into an and-1 was special. He was driving, attacking, dishing, defending and shooting all in one game. He unlocks this team.
Mullins just needs to slow down a hair and let the offense come to him. He seems to be hunting his shot a bit and forces it up early in the shot clock, leading to some ugly misses. When he has hit feet set and plays within the offense, he looks like a star. The talent is there, he just needs...
I watched that game and truly felt as though we have a point guard problem. Then learned that Silas had 11 assists. That’s how good we are. That was a very quiet 11 assist night that other teams yearn for.
I still think we are really good. But then I watch a game like this and I’m not sure. I haven’t seen the team like Michigan or Duke lay an egg against a really bad team yet.
It’s wild that we have to pay to play that game. It does nothing for us. Just schedule Syracuse and it’s the same level of competition and likely not a pay game.
As excited we are about Mullins, it is crazy that he was one banked three point shot away from being 22% from three tonight. It didn’t feel that way watching live. There is so much more to come, and I can’t be more excited for it!
Thank goodness Reed played and sacrificed his health so that our out of conference remained in tact. Oh wait…
Great win that will look even better by selection Sunday!
