    Selection Sunday Thread

    This region is absolutely stacked.

    Too much posting up

Seemed like the entire strategy was to get Zuby in foul trouble.

    Player intro videos?

On another program’s forum they have a thread of their best player intro videos. I couldn’t find any for us. Can we get a thread of them going? I’m guessing @Storrs South might have some retro ones..

    February UConn in the Pros

When Castle was coming out of high school he played mostly below the rim. He was a good athlete was more known for his positional size, passing, smooth play. Now he’s one of the better players above the rim in the league. I wonder what he did in the gym off the court.

Best defensive player ever @ UConn and then in the NBA

It’s Donovan Clingan. The primary reason we won those back to back championships was bc we could just have him on the court and he would erase everything inside the free throw line. Now he’s already a top 5 defensive big in the league in his 2nd year. It’s not his stats it’s just the space...

    February UConn in the Pros

This Spurs team is just insanely stacked. 11 to 1 to win the title on sport books right now seems like a solid bet.

    OT: Darryn Peterson

To be fair he shouldn’t even be in college. It looks like a starting pro playing against college kids.

    OT: Darryn Peterson

Everyone is criticizing this kid but you almost have to almost respect what he’s doing, right? He scores a quick 20+ at a remarkably efficient clip, without ever passing the ball, before he pulls himself from the games. Has anything similar to this ever happened before?

The XL Center is now People's Bank Arena. *nm*

Once it changes names 4+ times we should just revert to the original name, it’s the civic center.

OT: 7-foot-9 Olivier Rioux gives football a try at Florida

I never understood why football teams didn’t roster an extremely tall athlete, there’s so many uses. Football is a game of mismatches. A 6’10+ NBA style athlete could be used in multiple ways; blocking field goals(ball crosses line @ 8-11 ft off the ground), block distance punts, catch lob...

    Harper vs Edgecombe.

Friends and I had a heated debate tonight, so I thought it would be a good topic. Who makes the better pro?

Tom Thibodeau is out as head coach of the Knicks (Merged threads)

Unnerving that Danny hasn’t given some kind of coach k type answer about sticking with the program for the foreseeable future no matter what opens. I suspect he just wants to use it as leverage in future contract negotiations. But I also think he will make the jump when he’s 60+.

Tom Thibodeau is out as head coach of the Knicks (Merged threads)

Feels like it’s Jay Wright with all the Nova players on the roster.

    Alec Millender commits to UConn

Literally a practice body. I don’t think Coach Hurley agreed w the scholarship extension. It’s hard to fill out a 15 man team. You have to find 3-4 kids that are willing to come in and be a practice bodies, take no money while their teammates make 6-7 figures. It ruins the dynamic.

    2026 Recruiting: Trey Thompson offer

Staff once again ahead of the curve, or maybe triggered the curve? Kid has picked up a bunch of offers from high majors last 24 hours.
