Can UConn football team improve running game over final stretch of season? 'Definitely a focus' (Adamec)

To my untrained eyes, it appeared that Wake's DT's were getting upfield and cutoff the outside read run plays in the backfield. We ran one straight ahead dive that allowed the RB to get behind these DT's and into the defensive backfield, but after this play, I never saw us attempt a dive play...

    Tailgating at BC

Went to a UConn-Boston Alumni event last month. They mentioned they would put something together for this game. I will post here when I hear more.

    UConn v UMass 2023

Very interesting, I wonder what happened behind the scene to lead to this? Does UConn get a return trip added onto the backend of the agreement? A few weeks ago at an alumni event, a UConn Foundation organizer announced the game would be played at Gillette.

    Payton goes where Mora wouldn't...

As a Denver fan, I don't really like it. The broncos host the Jets in week 5, and I don't see any reason why he should be supplying them will bulletin board material. That being said, Sean is right. The coaching last season was objectively horrific. Delay of game penalties caused by the...

2023 Season - What Does Success Look Like? What Say You?

Maybe we are different for giving odds. In 2021, we had 4 different starting QB’s. There would have been 3 different starting QB’s if we had no injuries. Edit: I had to look it up, in the first 3 games we had 3 different starting QB’s, all coaching decisions. Unless you go back to FHCBD’s QB1A...

    UConn v UMass 2023

That's disappointing UConn-Umass at Gillette will feel very empty, even with a decent sized crowd there. I initially did read it as both games were going to be played at Gillette. I understand your point about warmups, but why couldn't the 2nd game teams make use of the Patriot's practice...

Hopefully not a Yarder... Simsbury man facing threatening charges over emails to UConn

The charges would never stick. The jury would never be able to understand what he was trying to say in the 10 page long email

    PWO versus Scholarship players?

Does anyone remember the controversy surrounding Jim Calhoun when he put his son on scholarship? I seem to remember him stating other benefits, besides tuition and r&b, but I can’t find the article now. I remember the rules being ridiculous, like PWO’s had to pay cash to eat at the team facility.

Is anyone going to this game? Where are your seats? Will be going with a group of 6, sitting in R27. Where is everyone else?

    2023 Starting QB Debate

I love the way this staff was able to use the transfer portal last year and trust if they decide to bring in 5 new QBs, I’m on board. Unlike others here, I am not sold Tyler P never takes another snap as QB at UConn. Not only did he need to recover from his injury, as a running QB he needs to...

722 players entered the portal -- TODAY.

Honest question, I wonder how many players end up transferring to the coach or program that was a finalist recruiting them out of high school. I would think that would give you a leg up. I think you are right and some programs will devote less resources into high school recruiting, in favor of...

The View From Section 241 — Liberty

Always enjoy your analysis! I recognize this team has been lucky in terms of turnover margin, but I don’t think it’s as bad as the 2015 team. If I remember correctly, the 2015 defense had a lot of gimmes from offenses, by means or interceptions and fumbles. While this years defense has also...

    Crowd

I currently live in Boston and have attended a few BC games over the years. My understanding is that parking/tailgating has been (relatively) recently negatively impacted by local ordinances. Not dissimilar to the way NIMBY’s prevented a football stadium in Storrs or tailgating after night games...
