Just 2 seasons ago we had Steph Castle as our point. I do generally agree with you, but ultimately it comes down to the quality of the player. These kids play a lot of hoops and tournaments long before they get on campus. They're not untested freshman.

I don't agree with your first line. I don't think many will draw a line from MSU back to UConn. I think seeing players go to P4 schools from UConn will give high schoolers and portal players with multiple years left something to think about when we offer. I'm not sure the player's success...
