    Early Coaching Hotseat Edition

Seems like someone inside Athletic Administration is preaching the official college line that WCBB is only program not to win a conference. Hence, they'd better be putting resources behind it. If correct, there are (at least for now) three McDonald's All-Americans on that roster...

Besides the Mulkey connection, there are more LSU-Rutgers connections: Rutgers president William Tate and new athletic director Kelli Zinn both previously worked at LSU. "We are thrilled to welcome Gary and his family to Rutgers," Zinn said. "Having worked with him previously, I've seen...

Hey...I'm with you. Mittie's team just beat Okla. State by one to become the lowest-seeded team ever (#12) to get to the semifinals.

That's not happening. After losing Suarez to TCU and a senior or grad student to lack of eligibility, I thought they'd be beyond mediocre. In fact, the young squad was tenacious and were competitive. Really hard to beat at home. So, I think she's beyond safe. The only possible place she goes...

I get your point about a singular, seemingly "out of nowhere" win or loss, but that's not the case with -- or my argument for -- Coach Mittie. In fact, he's averaged nearly 60% wins over his career at KSU, so I think he's been pretty darn consistent. The win over TT is a very solid one over a...

Per earlier comment on Kansas State: They just upset ranked Texas Tech, so I don't think the coach is going anywhere. (Earlier Comment: "Kansas State lost some of its best players ever going into this year and are now sitting at 16-16, following a three-pt. destruction of Cincy. Given that K...

Not a surprise. It doesn't behoove coaches at schools like Fairfield -- who have had success -- to go to a place like Rutgers at this time. You can probably say the same for the upper echelon of Ivy League teams: Princeton, Columbia, Penn, Harvard.

Comments on a few: Season Done: - Florida State: 10-21 was a pretty horrendous sesason for Brook Wyckoff. Allie Kubek has to be wondering what she was drinking when she agreed to transfer there. She spent much of her time on the bench at the end of the season. Emma Risch played similar minutes...

An objective take, for sure, and one that was tossed around here when AD John Currie fired Jen Hoover relatively late after the close of the season (in fact, I think she was either going to/coming back from representing the Wake athletic dept. when he decided to deep six her.). Who knows? Maybe...

With you on this...I think the Coach is safe for next year. The situation with Megan Gabbia at Wake Forest kind of has some BC-ish vibes with Joanna Bernabei-McNamee to me. Gabbia was a successful coach in the Patriot League and was hired after winning a few league titles for American, of all...

That was a bam-bam situation. Rumors went public and she was gone. Coached high school for a year or two and then went to FDU. She can coach and recruit: she did a great job at Fordham in terms of finding talent off the beaten path, ranging from New Zealand to Maine and the parochial schools of...

    Notre Dame 2025-2026 Regular-Season Thread.

Foul trouble very early on, but when Ivey reinserted her, she was missing chippies and forcing things. Ivey reinserted Bransford to play alongside Cowles or Sanchez. This was a classic Hidalgo Experience, augmented by a solid, solid game by de Jesus.

I'm not dumping on her, outside of having one of the hardest names to type. 😉 When playing her BC teams in the early years when she had (and was able to retain) talent, they were well-coached and always featured wings and tall guards that could attack the rim, both with the ball and as...
