I thought KY looked solid. A bunch of good basketball players that played good defense, rebounded, got out in transition and shared the ball. No one blows you away, but when they get JQ back and when Oweh gets rolling I could see them as a top 5 team.
I was using the same words as Tom Moore when he said Dan Hurley's ideal freshman recruiting class would be one immediate impact starter and two or three players that can be contributors/developmental players. Toure would fall in the second bucket at UConn.
Also, do you think Cal is promising him major...
College basketball is about stars and roleplayers and Toure could be an incredible defensive wing. Even with no development offensively, he could still contribute to a winning team just based on his defensive potential.
He is an asset to many, many college programs out there, including UConn...
I think there's a non-0% chance he commits. There's been no smoke at all lately, but things can change quickly. In the past week:
1. Trilly put in a gif for Cloer to NC State
2. Trilly said a source told him UConn might let County walk to go all in on Mingo/Landrew. When asked to clarify if...
When I pick my daughters up from after school care I hear the other kids saying 'six seven'. When I say it to my 10 year old daughter she gets really upset and tells me to stop and that I sound like a 9 year old boy who sits on Youtube and eats Hot Cheetos. Now I see Cal throwing up 'six seven'...
Reibe is tremendously skilled offensively for a 7 footer. He just lacks the physicality he will need defensively for Big East play. Luckily, he's our backup 5 and if you look around the NCAA here are some other backup 5s:
Houston: Kalifa Sakho
St. John's: Rubén Prey
Duke: Ifeanyi Ufochukwu...
Not pretending like I have any inside info, but according to Storrs Central we sent Nardi out to watch BABC at the 3SSB Show Your Stripes Invitational 5 weeks ago. Just doesn't make sense we'd lose interest in a hyper athletic, in-state wing but I guess there could be other factors involved.
Rare miss by Finkelstein. He's right we were 3 deep to see other guys - Hurley/Kimani/Luke. But we have a 4th coach now and Storrs Central said in their Summer Recruiting Wrap-up :
Abdou Toure
