    "Farewell" Games ?

As more foreign players enroll at American universities, I wonder if the NCAA will consider relaxing the limit down the road.

UConn WBB Announces 2025-26 Non-Conference Schedule

Thanks Sarge - I was hoping it would be at Chicago so that I could take my daughter to it. We had originally planned to go to the Hall of Fame tournament at Mohegan Sun in November but no longer are able to do so.

UConn WBB Announces 2025-26 Non-Conference Schedule

Can anyone tell whether the Loyola game is home or away?

    Paige makes Readers Digest

KBAZ - great memories from RD. I remember decades ago submitting tidbits for their consideration without success. Do you have a sense of when the issue was dated?

    Nika signs with European team

Reading the club statement from Majic Hands’ link, the team says there have been other UConn players on Sopron. BlueSky asked about Gabby. Any other players anyone knows about?

    Fame is relative, apparently

A few years ago my wife and I invited a couple, relatively new friends of ours, over for dinner and to watch the Super Bowl. They readily agreed but did inform us that they weren’t big fans. It turned out they knew virtually nothing about football - I mean not even the basic fundamentals...

    One more summer workout video

Sometimes I wonder if the coaching staff actively discourages dunking. We’ve certainly had players with the ability and clean opportunities but I don’t remember seeing one.

    ESPN & The Big East

We live in northern WIsconsin and have used Hulu Live for several years. Except for the massive cost hikes over the years, we’re quite happy with the service. 18 months ago we moved our internet service from Frontier to Starlink. Besides moving from a download speed of 3 (yes, you read that...

    OT- Thyroid 0peration Update

Ditto - I’ve been on thyroid meds for probably 30 years now. If it isn’t too intrusive Sarge, it would be interesting to know what you were facing. But most important, great to hear you’re recovering.

    Uconn South Carolina Series Over

I'm responding to Plebe's post, #56 in the thread, without having read anything further so apologies if anyone else has made the following points. For those saying that Dawn is now calling it quits because of the two losses last year, I disagree because I don't think the facts support that...

    Paige Doing Paige Stuff

I know it’s only 11 games into her career but the dismal start to Dallas’s session has me revisiting the earlier speculation about whether Paige would avoid this year’s WNBA draft so she wouldn’t wind up in Dallas-purgatory. Even if she regrets her decision she has too much class, and sense...

    Paige Doing Paige Stuff

For the record, I like Clark, both as a person and a player. But I like Paige more so I am comfortable with what you wrote. This is perhaps pop psychology but I think that if you reviewed thousands of photos of both women, you’d see a lot more smiles on Paige than Caitlin. I also think that...

Two new games announced for next season.

What you say is accurate but leaves me wondering this: With all those injuries and as short-handed as we were, what might have our record been had we been playing in either the SEC or Big Ten? On one hand, I could see a much worse win/loss record. But since I would never underestimate the...

Two new games announced for next season.

I understand where you're coming from but I respectfully disagree. There is an advantage of having a soft conference schedule. It allows the coaches to experiment with numerous line-up iterations, gives several of the end of the bench players more and valuable playing time than if we played...

Two new games announced for next season.

We lived near Ann Arbor between 2014-2020 and saw a couple of UM games each year. I like what Arico did with the Wolverines and thought she comported herself well on the sidelines, regardless of whether her team was winning (usually the case) or losing.
