    New Commit: Rrezon Elezay

I have to give Rrezon and probably his agent a lot of credit for this move. If he has real ability, he is going to get paid handsomely starting next year. If he is just a depth piece and will be returning shortly to Europe, there is almost no better scenario than working within the Hurely...

    Tarris Reed…from 3?!?

I think Duren's is more explosive and Reed is more skilled. Which is better suited for the professional ranks is hard to say but Reed has a lot of catching up to do as they are approximately the same age.

So let me get this straight

It also works both ways... how many of these kids did Calhoun recruit?

    2027 Recruiting: Sayon Keita

I have a feeling it might be another European but don’t discount the idea that with development there will be other Tarris Reeds in the portal.

Fans being priced out a problem everywhere

I feel for everyone who can't afford tickets but simultaneously sports at the highest level is a rich person's business. In the end, I'd rather have my teams great and decide I can only afford a game or two than have them stink and be able to choose my seat in an empty arena.

2026 NBA Draft & U19 World Cup Analysis w/ Adam Finkelstein | Game Theory Podcast

This is amazingly thoughtful stuff and even pulls back the curtain on what is definitely inside information.

Best Defensive Center of All Time

Not voting for Okafor would be a crime. Not only was he one of the great shot blockers of all time, he would be incredibly switchable in the modern game. Clingan and Thabeet were awesome in drop coverage but Okafor would be able to high hedge as well as rotate better than almost any center in...

Interesting article from Matt Norlander about coaches saying schools are still going to cheat with revenue sharing

No entity in sports has benefitted from cheating more than the SEC. It will be very difficult to tell the boosters that built the conference with under the table money that they shouldn’t do it any more because there are “rules” in place.

    UConn Summer League 2025

I might be an AJ apologist but I have no doubt he has a place in the league even with his limitations. In my mind, he is the deluxe version of Gary Payton Jr but he has to be on a team with shooters because he will always be a non shooter while on the floor.

    The nicest people in sports

I met Julius Erving in a business setting 25 years ago and he couldn't be more gracious. I wasn't necessarily a fan at that point but have been since.

Reibe and Furphy at FIBA U19s

I don't ever see this unless Reed and Reine are the rare bigs who don't foul.

What High School players did you watch live in HS and say 'NBA'

I saw him play in HS as well but thought he was too thin. I was wrong.

Best settings in U.S. pro sports?

The coldest I ever was at a ballpark was a day game Candlestick. I went in July wearing shorts and a sweatshirt and the temperature was in the 60's. The problem was the wind was blowing and it felt like 40 degrees and shivered throughout the entire game. On top of that, I ended up with a sun...

Kenpom Program ratings 1997-2025 (UConn 10th)

In a vacuum I'm not sure how many people would take the Michigan State job over UConn either. I also think the idea of Gonzaga without Mark Few isn't a "good" job. In fact, I'd take any Big East except for DePaul and Butler before I'd take the Zags.

Stephon Castle, what makes him special...

Castle reminds me so much of the Thunder wings and I tend to think his best comps are somewhere between Jaylen Williams and Lu Dort. That's not to say, he can't be more dynamic offensively than both but regardless, he translates to an incredible player who can be 2nd or 3rd best player on a...
