December General CBB Discussion Thread (Non-BE)

The additions of Cal and Stanford are essentially like adding two more BC's, yet they keep balking at UConn! Screw ESPN!

    Replace ND in the ACC?

And they are the entity that keep UConn out of a power conference.

UConn is going Bowling > Wasabi Fenway Bowl v. Army (Saturday 12/27/25 @2:15 on ESPN)

I thought it was because he is afraid he might get hurt.

UConn is going Bowling > Wasabi Fenway Bowl v. Army (Saturday 12/27/25 @2:15 on ESPN)

I am tainted as I know someone who lost everything because of it. It has been my experience that it seems that friends who can least afford to lose money are the ones who gamble it away.

UConn is going Bowling > Wasabi Fenway Bowl v. Army (Saturday 12/27/25 @2:15 on ESPN)

I would take that one step further. Anyone who gambles on sports is very likely to lose a lot more than they win.

UConn is going Bowling > Wasabi Fenway Bowl v. Army (Saturday 12/27/25 @2:15 on ESPN)

I think without Joe it is reasonable. If he played, UConn would be favored. Sadly, his decision has tainted his legacy at UConn.

    ACC Did Permanent Damage

Sadly, Anti UConn ESPN controls the ACC while the State Government continues to give them tax breaks.

Fagnano and Bell are out for the Wasabi Bowl

Since college athletics are now play for pay, then NIL money should be given out per game played. You don't play, you don't get that percentage of NIL allocation.

Fagnano and Bell are out for the Wasabi Bowl

Meaningless to whom? Not the fans whom they have begging for support.

Fagnano and Bell are out for the Wasabi Bowl

In this new age of pay for play, then it would seem reasonable to me that any game not played the NIL should be reimbursed. For example, if the season is now 13 games, and a player opts out of a bowl, then they should pay 1/13 of their NIL money back. I don't think I have ever heard of a...

Welp, ACC stays together with a new agreement (LINK)

The second paragraph is somewhat confusing. What ancillary benefits could they give? They have gone out of their way to screw UConn for the last decade plus. ESPN could have easily funded UConn to the ACC and told the Conference that it is UConn or no deal. They did not do that and won't do it...

OT: Notre Dame declines bowl bid

The are parasites. They sucked the life blood out of the BE and are doing the same to the ACC, who cowtowed to them instead of putting them in their place.

I happened to watch Pitt get beat by Hofstra today. Their gym looked like Conte forum. Empty.
