    Announcers

There is one announcer, a guy, who we've listened to a couple of times, for one of the Big East teams. Can't begin to remember which team, who he was, but definitely a throwback, actually calling the play-by-play. Maybe someone knows who I'm talking about. Maybe one of the mid-west teams. Deep...

    Senior night ceremony video

A bit sad to watch, 3 players whose careers were really upended. Almost could see that disappointment in the faces of the moms and dads.

    The player portal

Obviously. The point is that players were much less likely to move on( probably including some UConn players) because they would lose a year. Not anymore. I'm thrilled to see Ines, Saylor and Q playing the game again

    The player portal

is something that I have not been a fan of. But if coaches can bring in players, then I guess it's fair for players impacted by these transfers to use the portal to benefit themselves. Why not? Geno apparently sees no problem bringing players in. Since the portal is probably not going away...

    Excellent, short article on Azzi

I just think that she has to be more than a 3 point shooter, jump shooter at the next level. Defenders in the WNBA are really tough. She may very well have get-to-the-basket in her skill set, and just doesn't want to be bothered at the moment. Oh, #2 is a stretch.

    Excellent, short article on Azzi

Haven't paid attention to stats, so find it surprising that rebounds and assists numbers aren't greater. Not even 3 assists a game.. And also noticed that she's only shot 39 free throws in 27 games. Not comfortable with contact with her injury history?

Uconn dominance re BigEast - a little perspective.

Teams playing in the B1G, the ACC, and the SEC play good teams night in and night out, and I think that wears a team down . UConn just doesn't have to deal with that in the Big East. The men do have to deal with it, and it's clear that it wears them down. The fans of the men( and I'm really not...

    OT: Winter Olympics Watch

I think I've enjoyed watching curling the last few Olympics because it takes me back to when I played table shuffleboard when I was a kid. A similar game, don't see any tables around anymore. Our Little League team in NJ was sponsored by a tavern, back in the 50's. After games we would go to the...

Undefeated, Ranked Number One, A lock For the NC and......

It will take a team which plays strong defense, like Tenn. did for one half, to challenge UConn. Who plays tough defense? Texas? LSU at times in the past has, as has South Carolina. But don't think anyone is close to UConn defensively this season. And since defense is what wins championships...

    Why Azzi Fudd Deserves Grace

I'll admit that she does seem focused most of the time on the defensive side. Her offensive performance ,though, is clearly better against stronger teams. She is satisfied to let her teammates carry the load against the Big East. Anyone would be bored with the level of competition in the Big...

    Why Azzi Fudd Deserves Grace

Not sure what you mean by specifics. I'm merely saying that when they're playing a strong opponent is when she focuses, and plays her best. Her stats certainly show that. People here have wondered about her game, her shooting, at times, and I just think that if it's not a competitive game she...

    Why Azzi Fudd Deserves Grace

She performs when necessary. The rest of the time she's bored. She'll be lights out in the tournament. Lest we forget, she was the 1st hs sophomore to be Gatorade National Player of the Year. The injuries have slowed her down considerably. She's just going to keep getting better and better now.
