You have to include Steph Castle. He was a beast in the final four nobody could stop when we really needed a bucket. I was there for those games and saw his NBA big time potential first hand.
We can not fall in the trap at end of game of running the shot clock down and hoping Karaban will bail us out. That is a recipe for disaster as we saw last year and in this game.
Cam was actually pretty good driving too and creating offense inside. That team had great options with Cam, Newton and Castle with the ability to drive and create havoc. We really have not had this past 2 years but Smith is definitely trying to do that to create offense for others.
Well he sets some nice screens out there. LOL! Stewart is at best an average 3 point shooter. I really do not want him or Ross taking 3s unless wide open. The thing Stewart can do is drive to the hoop and use skillset to get to the hoop or make some nice pases inside to Reed/Reibe. I do not...
He sealed in there at the end with some nice assists and the 3. He is so dynamic and looks healthy again. Representing UConn welll. He loves to play againt the Lakers who are so unathletic.
Good point but still would of substituted Stewart for Ross on offense at end of the game, especially when we were inboudning the ball. Ross just is not strong with the ball in his hands. It looks like a game of hot potato with his having to make decisions passing the ball.
Stewart obviously has the better offensive skillset and with his improved D should play more. He also made a couple nice passes to feed Reed in the first half. Problem with Stew is that sometimes just sits at the 3 point line after setting screens and does not make cuts or go to the basket. We...
I also want to give props to Ball. He lead the team in scoring with 19 and hit 3 of his 8 shots. He also continues to drive o thee basket and score. He is still a WIP on D but he is great player for us.
