Missing a mid range game and also not super Athletic or super long. Good college player but dont think he sniffs tbe first round based on how the game is nowadays in tbe NBA.
Smith had 7 assists and 1 TO. He played decent D and really pressured their PG. If you are expecting him to score anything otrhit FTs I don't know what to tell you. He isn't Demary as far as scoring.
Is St. John's really going to beat Duke? I think St. John's stinks when they play against a team that is formidable and can shoot and penetrate at all.
Smith just did in the St. John's game and we hit a 3. We don't do it enough but both Demary and Smith can do it and have done it before. Unfortunately it isn't too frequent.
I'm just saying even if he doesn't stick on the NBA roster at first I'm sure teams will send him to the G League to develop his game. Not saying he will go to the G League. Either way I wouldn't spend too much time thinking he will come back as he is still a sure first rounder. Take off you...
You do realize playing in the G League doesn't mean you can't contribute in the NBA at a later time. Gary Payton II, Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, and Chris Boucher to name a few as well as our own Cam Spencer.
I understand it would be good he would return and work on getting stronger but no way he is passing up 1st round money now. I just don't see it happening even with NIL around.
He is gone. No way like Liam is he turning down guaranteed first round money no matter how hard you convince yourself he should stay. He might of slid out of lottery range but he is still a first round pick. He won't see defense like this in the NBA as those are all fouls.
Yeah, but like Lian before him he is gone. He is still getting drafted in the first round. Probably not a lottery pick though unless UConn goes far and he shoots lights out.
