Neither team shooting well.

USA playing better team defense then Canada. If USA was having a good shooting day, they would have a 20+ point lead. USA should win this game by double digits.

Courtney Williams is not playing well at all. Shooting for both teams got better in the 2nd quarter but still lots of settling for tough shots. USA getting more clean looks but not dropping.

USA works well in transition. That's their meal ticket.

All tied with 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. USA forgetting to play defense and Canada doing a great job rebounding the ball. USA still shooting poorly.

48-45 USA leads end of 3rd quarter. IMHO Courtney Williams is playing out of control and is shooting up bricks. Not her day and now she's trying to do too much.

Courtney Williams does have 10 points all in the 2nd half. She is scoring points, but is not selective in her shot selection.

US definitely woke up in the 4th. Good defense and a lot of shots falling as well. Canada not quite as disciplined as Japan was...but then, at this tournament who is?

I have to disagree about Courtney Williams' play. Though she couldn't make a shot (0 for 8) in the first half and forced up some really bad ones, she and Aerial Powers were the keys to the USA win. In the second half, Courtney scored 15 points, turning a tight 2-point USA lead going into the 4th quarter into what the final score deceptively appears to be a rout. Williams also had 10 rebounds, providing USA with a huge spark when it needed one. Courtney is a helluva athlete. Aerial Powers is a really talented kid who never met a shot she didn't love, made some really tough ones and finished with 27 points. IMO those two were the outstanding players in the championship game.

Courtney Williams definitely had a forgettable first half. Williams and Powers (Canada too) took the game up a notch in the 4th. Bulgak played well but Canada wasn't able to keep up with USA's wing players.

I really would've liked to see more of Deshields. Russell had good footwork and ran the floor well for a 6'5" center..
