Go , Tiff !!!! Thanks for the heads up, Nan - I'll be checking out the replay

I also noted that she had only 1 foul in 39+ mins of play. That's a really clean game for someone playing with so much intensity (Tiff's middle name)

Absolutely abused Shonni whenever she was in the game and didn't treat any of the other NY guards with much respect either.

Reposted from the Cash is back thread:
And Hayes also had a DD - 27, 11, 3, 2, and 2 blocks including a master stuff of Charles late in the game!
Between them (Tina Swin Kiah and Tiff) Uconn ended up with 67 points, 30 rebounds, 12 assists, 11 steals, 7 blocks in 117 minutes - 41% of the points, 31% of the rebounds, 36% of the assists, 46% of the steals, and 44% of the blocks, in 26% of the minutes. They also shot .524/.500/.792 while the rest of the players shot: .268/.091/.763.

NY is really missing Cappy - they are having a really hard time scoring from the perimeter, especially down the stretch.

And borrowing from Eric in the same thread:
Tina had a legit chance for a quadruple double - 29 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 7 steals, and 2 blocks

And Swin returned the favor. :)

Check out the Big East, uh, Liberty highlight reel.

Tiff is now tied for 12th in the league in scoring with Angel and Sugar Rogers. Other former Huskies rank highly as well:

Points per game:

1. Diana
2. Tina
3. Maya
11. Stewie
12. Tiffany

Here is the partial ranking for assists per game:

1. Sloot
2. Maya
4. Diana
5. Moriah
6. Sue
10. Bria (tie)
10. Tina (tie)

That's 7 of the top 13 (there's a 4-way tie for 10th).

Love the "1-2-3" theme this year!

On a side note: I really hope that potential UConn recruits are taking note of the over whelming success UConn alumni are having in the WNBA, and over seas. It's no accident. There is a connection. The answer is as easy as connecting the dots. ;)

For me there was a should-not-be-funny-but-can't-resist-a-chuckle moment in that game. Tiff and Tina had a hard collision, and Tiff landed on her hip and had to go to the sideline in pain. Tina comes along a few seconds later to offer some "didn't mean to do that, former UConn bud" sentiment...only she touches Tiff on her sore hip while doing so, causing another flareup of pain. Poor Tiff...she recovered and scored some more, though. :D

DaddyC, you know as well as I do that a good reporter just reports (In my case- predicts it) the news, he doesn't make, manufacture or create it. :D
