Haha what a .
Why do they even have him running with Grandal at the plate? Grandal has basically never had a hit with runners on, why does Roberts start him? Why did Roberts have his top 4 homerun hitters sitting on the bench to start game 1 and game 2? Why did he take his stud starter out who had a 2 hitter with no walks and was still throwing 99 mph gas to put in a reliever who is broken and hasn't been able to get 6 outs all season?

You couldve had Buehler on a short leash, or start the 8th with Baez and have Jensen warming up. Not having your top 4 home run hitters in the lineup for games 1 and 2 was mind boggling.

Beuhler was at 108 pitches. You take him out. Absolutely no reason to ask Jansen to go two innings though. You've got Urias and Baez to get to Jansen. Use them.

Attempts at tactical matchups in every damn play has gotten out of hand.

I think it was the right move to send Kinsler if the throw is off an inch or 2 Kinsler is likely safe, put the pressure on the Dodgers they haven't exactly handled pressure well.

Baseball was cooler when it wasn't all arbitrary pitch counts and algorithms. Buehler was at 99 mph and not straining when he pulled him. There would be no Don Larsen, Jack Morris, or basically any other legendary pitching performance with these robots.

This game is so predictable you knew Machado would get nothing to hit there Machado is like I'm hacking away anyways, trying to be the hero.

If the Sox dont score I'm guessing you pitch Pomeranz till his arm falls off, would imagine Cora would use Eovaldi to close.

It is what it is. But worth noting that was the most pitches Buehler had thrown in any MLB game. He'd gone 105 twice before, never 108. Kid is talented and you assume you'll need him for Game 6. No reason to Dusty Baker him into early retirement. It's the one move Roberts made I can get behind.

If the kid had a few years experience under him, then maybe you take that risk and run him out in 8th.

fwiw, Morris went past 108 pitches 5x in postseason. He was 3-2 in those games. Certainly not automatic.

And 2014 MadBum says hi.

I hear you but you play to win this game, there isn't even a game 5 if they lose tonight.

Unless this game goes 20 innings, Evoldi and Polmaranz should be enough
Please don’t get to the point where Pomeranz enters the game. Once he does its over lol.

The Dodgers would go down 1-2-3 against Pomeranz.
