Beautifull area great event.
The AAU Girls games range from Gr 5 to Gr 12.
Two courts were going in the HP Field House from 5pm to 10pm while the WNBA games were going on.
In the Joltson Complex they had 6more courts going on all night.
The AAU event has been going on for at least the last five years.

The first game. Chicago vs Indiana. Sad to say neither neither Tam Catchings or Sylvia Fowles did not play.
The teams played different line ups as they still have a couple more cuts to make.
Chicago started at point Ellenberg , Delledonne, Breland, Young, and Brandon.
They substitued freely and changed things up in the second quarter. They have some big bodies and should do well.

Indiana started Coleman, Howard, Christmas, Clarendon, and Carter.
Carter and Howard were foul machines. Howard should be good but needs to bulk up, too lean getting the rookie welcome inside.
The game was really Chicago's to lose and they didn't.

Minnesota looks great. They started a lineup that if they stay healthy will be hard to beat.
Starting five Mayo, Simone, our Ct Sun Tan White, Whalen, and McCarville.
Maya and Whalen slimmed down even more then the last time I saw them and they at times put on a show for the crowd.

Sad, but Diana did not play, was on sideline cheering on her team. penny Taylor warmed up but did not play.
Without those two it seemed hard for them to consistently find scoring offense. Early on it was pound the ball inside to Griner and she is playing better. The buggaboo for her still is she got called for two moving screens. That is a work in progress for her.
Minnesota won this game and looked good doing so.

All in all this was a great event for young girls to see how hard you have to work to get to your dreams.
I had to laugh because during warmups all the kids were screaming for Griner to dunk.

If you have ever in the area this is a beautiful place to see and event. It is the sprint training center for the Atlanta Braves.
