oldwest-ok/okst/kan/kst/ist/tt/tex/bay
they can afford the project school or 2 with there solid rankings and bcs tag being all set.

if the big10 expands and takes any of ist/kan/kst then your still ok with all the tams u added and that just alows you to shed crap fball and add a byu/bosie/smu/usf or w/e floats the boat to get back to 16.

UT already doesn't want to split the fairly lucrative Big XII contract 12 ways. They want to stay at 10. Why on earth would the league want to split the money with these other schools, many of whom are lower tier?

The only school being considered that can bring in enough TV revenue to justify its share of the Big XII pie is BYU. In addition, destroying the Big East, which taking LV or WV will probably do, puts the Big XII closer to extinction by moving us closer to 4 16 team superconferences, which is the death of the Big XII and not what Texas wants.

I could be wrong, but my best guess is that WVU and LV are being floated out there as leverage while negotiations with BYU continue. But we'll have to see.
