Matt Damon starring in "The Pursuit of Perfection".

DeNiro had to put on 50 pounds for Raging Bull, I think Damon can slim down a bit for the early years and then start hitting the buffet line. Plus he is a New England guy. He is 52 and capable of playing roles younger and older than that.

I gave this some thought and i think Matt Damon would be a good choice.

Damon is a very good pick but personally I would want someone with Italian roots to play coach. My first choice would be DiCaprio although Boreanaz is the closest visually. However, since Leonardo and David are both six feet tall, I'd probably settle for the super talented Gio Ribisi to play Geno in "HUSKIES".

Depends on the movie. If it covers his life, all of it, it might require three actors, Geno the boy, the young adult starting out with Uconn, and the much older coach today. They are pretty amazing with makeup and effects for aging actors, but even if it covered just his coaching career it would be a challenge.

I think that it would be a documentary much like the movies about John Wooden & Vince Lombardi.
There wouldn't be any need for an actor to play the role of Geno because it would have the real Geno in it.

Bryan Cranston or (possibly too old) Sir Anthony Hopkins
Actually, Matt Damon would be good too and Joe Pesci would be brilliant!

I think it would be a good fit for John Leguizamo. Call it “Playing for Keeps”

Eric Roberts! I think that’s his name.
Ha! I don`t think so - I have seen him play the creepy guy in a bunch of Lifetime movies, and that`s a lot of creepy to overcome.

BUT - if he could get his sister, Julia Roberts, to play Chris Dailey, well maybe then we got a package deal!
