Cheering for her son, Tommy Myers, who scored UConn's first toucdown this year.
"UConn blue is practically ingrained in his DNA, passed down from parents who were both varsity athletes during their time in Storrs some three decades earlier.
Tommy Myers’ mother was a star for Geno Auriemma’s first UConn basketball team; his father played four years of football. Myers, a redshirt sophomore tight end, had been waiting for the chance to make a true mark.
Peggy (Walsh) Myers, scored 1,413 points with 937 rebounds during her time on UConn women’s basketball team from 1982-86. Auriemma was hired just prior to her senior season, and she became his first star player, earning All-Big East honors. She’s still fifth on the school’s career rebounds list."
