What does this feature accomplish?

If activated, will it prevent a thread title from appearing on the user's screen when on the main page of a particular forum?

Thanks in advance for the help. (I perused the menu labels etc. for a user's guide or FAQ page and didn't see anything; my apologies if I've missed it.)

If you ignore a user you don't see that user's posts and replies.

If you are t sure, find a post, ignore the user, and see what happens.

Yep, it disappears from the BY. I think it may give you choices of the extent that you ignore but if you click off on all of them, it's gone.

The one absurd feature of "ignore" the the placeholder when an ignored user posts in a thread, saying something like "show ignored user's posts."
