Watching that, I started to wonder about these camps and the complaints that so many upper level coaches have about the training that kids get. It appears that this like most other camps are about individual skills. I wonder if there are any camps that try to work along the lines of team practice. Working on things five on five, or running the type of drills Uconn uses as pregame warm-ups. The lack of team skills seems to be Geno's biggest beef - two many individual training sessions, too many games, and not enough team practice.
USA basketball seems to run their trials in more team oriented ways. Anyone know if there are camps that specialize in that sort of thing. If not, it would be a great idea for someone like Maya to try and incorporate that. It would need to be a fairly long camp, but ...
