Gallagher out of the Bottom 5th with two more Ks against one walk. Nice two innings.

Time to get back into the game.

So following the CFed double, Gozzo singled him to third, Crawford hit a Sac Fly for the first out making it 6-5, KFed singled and then a Ferrer groundball turned into an error scoring Gozzo and leaving runners on the corners with 1 out. 6-6 game. We're totally outmatched.

Maycock fans with runner on third and one out -- yuch -- and Hague grounds out to end inning. Tied at 6 going into the bottom of the 6th. Where are the two innings coming from to get to Cody? Haus?

Michigan scores on a 2 out single, making it 7-6 Wolverines. Top of the 7th coming up.

Surprisingly Gallagher gets a third inning, hits the leadoff batter and gives up a two out single to score him and put Michigan up 7-6 heading into the 7th.

Marrero gives up 1 hit, no runs in the bottom of the 7th, after we went scoreless in the top half despite a Winkel single (finally).

7-6 Miiiiichigan going into the 8th.

Andy Hague is up 5th this inning. Someone better be ready to pinch hit.

Finally home from work. Chris Jones doing an admirable job on the radio under very bizarre broadcasting circumstances. Simeone may not have had it today, but the bullpen trio of Lucas, Gallagher, and Marrero have done a very solid job of keeping UConn in the game.

Crawford double, then a Kyler Fedko single ties the game at 7 in the top of the 8th with no out. Pitching change for Michigan.

Don't have to be listening to know who is getting up in our bullpen now ready for the next two innings.

Ferrer walks, and Brodnansky pinch hits for Hague and gets an intentional walk. Bases loaded with 1 out. Bushling hits into a double play ends the inning with the game tied at 7.

Bottom 8th, Kenny Haus starts the inning on the mound. Moriarty goes to 3B (he pinch ran for Brodnansky), Bushling to shortstop.

Bottom 8th, Michigan leadoff batter walks, steals second, Haus balks him to 3B with one out. Haus gets out the inning with a strikeout and a pop out. Game still tied at 7.

Way to go Kenny! Pitching has been phenomenal outside of the 1st.

Between the pitching that we have seen coming out of the pen over the first four games, and the comeback that the UConn hitters staged in this game, I'm getting rather excited about this season. However, I have to admit that I am always excited about the UConn baseball season.
