<Saturday's game will be HookC Day with the first 100 fans receiving HookC pennants while Sunday's game will be Senior Day with the Huskies honoring eight seniors and graduate students. Korey Morton, Bryan Padilla, Jake Studley, Stephen Quigley, Michael Quigley, Matt Malcom, Kieran Finnegan and Joe Cinnella will all be honored while Garrett Coe, Paul Tammaro, T.C. Simmons, Ryan Hyde and Luke Broadhurst will also be recognized with Sunday being their final game at Elliot Ballpark.>

I believe Padilla and Hyde have another year of eligibility. We'll see if they come back to UConn baseball next season.

This may be the most important weekend series of the season. A sweep would be awesome for the team going forward but let's not revisit Northeastern. PLEASE.

Started getting the game broadcast at the time of Morton's homer.

Padilla follows the homer with a double, but he is left on base. 2-0 UConn.

Top 2nd, Coe has a 1-2-3 inning, 2-0 UConn. Coe has thrown 24 pitches.

Bottom 2nd, Studley has a leadoff walk, he is caught trying to steal 2B for the 2nd out. Scoreless inning for the UConn offense, 2-0 UConn.

Top 3rd, runners on the corners with no out. A sac fly for the 1st out makes the score 2-1 UConn. Runner on 1st steals 2B, advances to 3B on a throwing error by Garbowski. A 1 out single brings in the run, game tied at 2 going to the bottom of the inning.

Bottom 3rd, first 2 UConn batters reach base on infield singles. Shpur gets picked off 2B for the 1st out. With 2 out, Morton doubles putting 2 runners in scoring position, but the runners are left on base. Game tied at 2.

How do you get picked off second with 1st and 2nd no outs and 3, 4, 5 hitters coming up. Why? Then of course we get a double but have no runs to show for it. This is what is wrong with this team. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Sorry had to rant. And the throwing error that gets charged to Garbowski isn't his fault, he made a perfect throw, but nobody there to cover.
