Charlotte and Louisville play at 2pm in the first game, so it is possible that the UConn/South Florida game might get delayed past 6pm if the first game goes long.

The lineup is pretty much what I was thinking it might be. The big key is who plays center field. With T.C. Simmons in the lineup, it moves David Smith to 2B.

Wow. Kevin Ferrer hit over .290 last year, in his first year as a most-time starter. If all the guys coming in and taking his playing time have convinced Penders they are going to be more valuable, that says good things about the lineup.

Also interesting that Huber is batting ahead of both Dana and Fedko. We know that Dana has already broken .300 in the Big East, and that Christian isn't far behind. Obviously, they really expect a lot out of Huber, even jumping up from the D-2 level.

I'm sure Ferrer will get chances to play sooner or later. I believe UConn is facing a right handed pitcher tonight, so that could influence the decision to start Simmons, who also is probably UConn's best defensive outfielder as well as being a left handed bat. Also, with UConn's depth at catcher, there could be pinch hitting opportunities for that spot in the lineup.
