Aaliyah scored 18 points against DePaul over the weekend, including 10-10 from the charity stripe. That raised her career scoring to 1,527 pts or 27th place. If she can get 14 points Tuesday against Marquette, she would reach 25th place, replacing Jen Rizzotti. Go Liya..!!

Nika added 7 more assists to reach 550 for her career at UConn. That moved her to 8th place all-time. Bria Hartley in next with 559 assists. In 6th place is Sue Bird at 585. The unselfish gnat from Croatia is moving up..!!

Paige scored an easy 20 points against DePaul and moved to 1,205 career points. That puts her in 45th place and just behind Jessica Moore at 1,223 points. After Jessica, Paige should pass #43 Kris Lamb (1,244 pts) and #42 Megan Walker (1,251 pts). Morgan Tuck is #41 at 1,298 points.

Keep going Aaliyah, Nika and Paige..!!
Go Huskies..!!

After today's game vs St John's (game 23) Nika is 7 assists behind Sue.

looking at our worst-case scenario and only getting to the sweet 16, making it 13 games and not 17, Nika would need 7 assists a game to break Moriahs record. This my friends is doable, so every time we miss a bunny from a Nika pass it makes her chance of breaking the record harder to achieve. I will be watching intently each game at her potential assists and assists we missed because of poor execution.

Not quite. If they get to the S16, that game will be (should be) 14th game, not 13th.

8 more regular season - 8
3 (assumed) BE games - 11
2 Subregionals - 13
S16 game - 14

That's 14.

Nika doesn't need to break Moriah's record to have done something great. She going to be in the company of giants in any event. Breaking the record is just an extra flourish for her... or anyone.
I want her to break the record because she will not make all-American status, but she will be in the UConn record books so everything she has done will be documented somewhere in UConn lore. She will not be All-American, will not have her number hanging from the rafters, and will not be in any Husky top 15 lists. She should be recognized by future fan bases as a player the team couldn't live without and knowing that she left her mark as one of the most valuable Huskies ever. Love this girl and she should not be forgotten.

Also need to follow Edwards rebounding.

She's currently at 876 and averaging 8.6 per game. With 14 (possibly/probably) games left that would put her at 996 and #8 on the All time list. Ahead of Walsh and Wolters. G Williams at 1007. A couple bigger rebounding games and she could get to 1000 rebounds.

Liya passed Hall of Famer Swin Cash on the scoring list and is approaching NPOY Jen Rizzotti. That’s outstanding company!

I believe this team will be in the Regional Finals of the NCAA's. Rounding Nika's average down to 6 assists per game, she will have 568 assists if UCONN does not advance to the Final Four [which I believe they have better than a 75% chance of success], which would have Nika passing MoJeff during the sweet sixteen game!!!!

If UCONN shoots an average of 55% from now to the Final Four, Nika will 100% be the UCONN assists leader during the BE Championship game (my final answer!)

Go Nika!!! Go Huskies!!!!!! :cool::):cool:

She just needs to average 5.5 Assists per game in the next 13 games (includes Sweet Sixteen) to tie MoJeff, and then break the record in the Elite Eight with the ticket to the Final Four on the line. I like Nika's chances and the team's chances to start a new streak of Four Final advancements!

Go Nika! Go Huskies!!
