Pretty reasonable. I sort of think Edsall and Sherriffs would get along well if they connect. Not that he won't bring in a JUCO or someone but Sherriffs seems like the kind of kid Randy would trust for a season while he gets/develops a guy.

If RE can get the OL to perform with any kind of consistency, he can win 6-7 every time with a QB like Sherriffs. He is a better version ofr Tyler Lorenzen.

Hopefully he'd be able to find another guy in the mold of Orlovsky, but that might be wishful thinking. BS has some skill, though downfield passing isn't one of them. That said, I'm far more confident that Randy and his OC would be more than competent enough to draw up an offensive scheme that took advantage of BS's skills and didn't force him to look downfield all the time and end up with him bailing out on the play after 1.5 seconds. He's far from perfect, but we can win six games next year with BS at the helm and a competent OL.

Stanford won't be a bad program to model after if Edsall wants to run that style of football. He should study how Shaw's team defend all the PAC-12 spread offenses.
