So Brown and Fedko are out, for now, unless someone else goes south or they get hot in cameos. Understand Brown, as he started horrifically offensively and defensively and Padilla has shocked everyone with the bat. Don't understand Fedko, as he has had so few at bats that he's two hits short of a good start, but Penders presumably knows what he's doing.

But I am bothered by a four year starter being benched so quickly. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Top 1st, Stock with a 2 out double, so his hitting streak continues, but that is it for the UConn offense that inning. No score.

Bottom 2nd, after a leadoff single and a 2 out walk, Peterson gets out of the inning unscathed. 2 more strikeouts for Peterson, 4 for the game. Peterson at 38 pitches. No score.

Padilla looking good at SS

I suspect Padilla is an improvement over Bushling on defense at short. It never really seemed that Bushling had enough arm for the position. Always thought Bushling was better off defensively at 3B.
