The last foul was lame, but great effort by UConn. Heck of a season with so many injuries. The team should hold their heads high.

SC fan here who had no rooting interest in the game. Congrats to Iowa but anyone with eyes knows the ref influenced that game. Even if you discount the earlier calls, Edwards was set and that was not an offensive foul. Congrats on an incredible season and hope you win it all next year (assuming we can finish the job on Sunday!).

They didn't call the push offs against Iowa all night then they called that slight lean against AE with a few seconds left? Dubious.

Caitlin is not going to do well against SC. UConn did a pretty good job on her.

Great game and great season, but that last foul should have been a no-call. Horrible by the ref. Taking the game out of the hands of the players and inserting the ref into the game. Just awful.

So proud of our guys. They did what Geno feared they couldn't - come back from a deficit in the 4th quarter.

Such a shame and a dreadful call.

The refs couldn't let it play out to the last shot....that really ruined the game. Great play on both sides, considering we did it with 6 players on the floor, UConn showed they have a great game and a wonderful mindset. Incredible game for Nika guarding Clark.

We pretty much had it won until that ref stepped in and gave the game to Iowa

Unfortunate that refs made the difference at a crucial moment, but UCONN never should let themselves be in that position.

Yeah not the ending we wanted but so proud of the entire team this year! They overcame so many obstacles and need to keep their heads held high! Big thanks for Liya and Nika for giving it their all!! I’m very excited about the group returning next year! Great experience for the freshies!

What a fantastic season from these ladies. Ultimately taken down by the Caitlin Clark agenda. But couldn’t be prouder of this group. Congrats to Aaliyah and Nika on a fantastic 4 years. Is it time for next season yet?

Proud of this team. From my perspective, they overachieved. Still think this game was winnable, but we made some mistakes in the first half that did not allow us to build the lead. But South Carolina’s definitely looking like the team to beat this year.

I hope SC smokes them!

This UConn team was tough, tough, tough. Damn proud of all of them. I hope those returning let this loss be a burning ember as they roll through next season.

Bad call and the refs were good to Iowa throughout but what the heck was Geno doing there? You're down 1, not 3. Just put the ball in Paige's hands and have her create, don't complicate it with moving parts.

Great season playing through the most extreme adversity and making the final 4. South Carolina would whoop either of these teams so that should ease the pain a little.

Was ok with a loss. Too bad for an awful call to play a pivotal role.

Every sportswriter (ie unbiased) on twitter lamenting the call.

The moving screen call on Edwards was correct. We lost, fair and square.

hmmmm.... don't think I've ever seen a game end like that so don't agree there. It was a tikcy tack if anything.

I thought the UConn women would get blown out. They played well, even well enough to win. Congrats to them for a good game and tournament. Terrible call at the end that ruined what could have been an epic finish.

Refs handed the game to Iowa, period.

All of the missed baskets for UConn in the 1st quarter/1st half really came back to haunt them. They could have run up the score margin a lot more when Iowa was struggling to score. Could have put the game out of reach.

Just sucks.

A beyond awful offensive foul call.

That said, just give Paige the ball with 9 seconds. Bad play call.

Should the refs have made that call? No. But AE needed to stay in her spot and not give the ref the chance to make a call.
