Awesome.

But how are we playing Gonzaga, UNC, Kansas, and potentially Texas and Indiana with none of them in the state of Connecticut? Lol all the schedule complaints for the last few years- we’ve all got our wish. We are potentially going have the most difficult schedule in the country next season.

But we’re the champs, so this is how it should be.

awesome! as much as i would have liked a traditional "home and home," getting a game in seattle for stewart feels almost geno-esque. he loves going to his players' hometowns during the season.

This is fantastic! Even though Gonzaga hasn't won any titles in their history they are big national brand with a lot of respect. When people talk about big national brands and blue bloods/new blood elites it's UCLA, Kentucky, North Carolina, UConn, Duke, Indiana (although they should probably be demoted on some level), and Kansas. Gonzaga has become a household name almost as much as those schools.

Having the game at MSG will resonate with not only the older fans in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut tri state area, but also the high school players in the area and maybe even nationally as MSG screams big time.

I have to think Hurley had some influence in this, too, and had conversations with Dave Benedict. These slate of OOC games is great for recruiting, too, along with being in the Big East.

This is great, hopefully we avoid Louisville and the OOC schedule will be loaded

Playing a good National OOC should also help with recruiting.

Kinda wish the return game was in Boston like in the mid-2000s series but will never say no to an MSG game. I do agree though it's a shame that these "big" games are seemingly never coming back to campus (or even Hartford). Really disappointing. Getting to the point where having season tickets is useless, just buy tickets to the 1-2 good BE games.

OOC schedule currently is:

2 away
3 MSG
0 home

They can schedule 6 more games OOC. I assume at least 5 will be cupcakes. Need 1, just 1, good team OOC part of the season ticket package in Connecticut.

I'm out of state and no longer a season ticket holder, but the ask isn't that crazy to have 1 P5 game at home. More than a few years we used to have 1 P5 at XL and 1 at Gampel.

1 - there should be an out of conference game at MSG against a name opponent as often as reasonably possible (four every five years should be a reasonable target).
2 - there should be an out of conference game at Gampel against a name opponent every season.
3 - there should be an out of conference game a XL against a name opponent every season.

The school needs to provide something for the ticket buyers, even if it means fewer games against Bryant, LIU or UMass Lowell.

there's always been an element of taking the season ticket holders for granted (not just in basketball) despite who's in charge of the athletic department.
