YES!
I have to think Hurley had some influence in this, too, and had conversations with Dave Benedict. These slate of OOC games is great for recruiting, too, along with being in the Big East.Awesome.
But how are we playing Gonzaga, UNC, Kansas, and potentially Texas and Indiana with none of them in the state of Connecticut? Lol all the schedule complaints for the last few years- we’ve all got our wish. We are potentially going have the most difficult schedule in the country next season.
But we’re the champs, so this is how it should be.
OOC schedule currently is:
2 away
3 MSG
0 home
They can schedule 6 more games OOC. I assume at least 5 will be cupcakes. Need 1, just 1, good team OOC part of the season ticket package in Connecticut.

there's always been an element of taking the season ticket holders for granted (not just in basketball) despite who's in charge of the athletic department.1 - there should be an out of conference game at MSG against a name opponent as often as reasonably possible (four every five years should be a reasonable target).
2 - there should be an out of conference game at Gampel against a name opponent every season.
3 - there should be an out of conference game a XL against a name opponent every season.
The school needs to provide something for the ticket buyers, even if it means fewer games against Bryant, LIU or UMass Lowell.
