Temple just doesn't cut it. But they look to be the closest AAC opponent in the conference so.

But imagine UConn does move on some day. If it's to the ACC then BC would be the most perfect opponent for this past weekend. New England rival and the northeast would eventually be a little electric.

But what if its the B1G. That Thanksgiving weekend game would probably be the other team that enters the conference with UConn. Or the RU/MD game gets bounced in favor of UConn/RU and a better MD opponent.

A boring Sunday morning here. Who is left to be the best UConn rivalry week game if UConn moves some day?

Are you talking about in the AAC? If so..it's too bad Navy is in the West because I would love to se us play them last game of the season every year.
If it's B1G RU..if it's the ACC BC

We're the Jacob Marley of rivalry week.

We're doomed to forever walk the earth warning schools to enjoy rivalry week lest it be taken away from them.

Get used to Temple.

Man, I feel like I should keep some Prozac by the key board whenever I read a Fishy post. Sometimes his posts are just a kick in the nuts.

Temple just won the division by manhandling us. It's located in the 5th largest city in the country. It is riding high right now with a better team than Penn State and probably Pitt. But it just doesn't cut it? UCONN - Temple better cut it or before you know it, it will be Pitt - Temple.

It will end up being BC or Rutgers. Maybe Cuse.

No one else. Not Temple.

Cincy ahead of USF, otherwise agree
Cincy is a great basketball rivalry. We can't touch them on the gridiron. Hell when was the last time we beat USF?

BC regardless of conference. They are close, it is our both of our interests to boost viewership of New England football, they don't have a solid football rival either, we have history, and both fan based hate each other.

Nothing like proximity and enmity to make a rivalry pop.

UConn has more similarities to Rutgers (state flagship U, suburban NYC U, size, academic programs, etc.); but, UConn has more history with Syracuse and BC.

Of course ask the same of those three schools and you would get the following answers:

1) Rutgers - rival is Penn State, feeling is not mutual
2) Syracuse - rival is Georgetown, ignoring the last decade of old Big E basketball history and that G-Town does not have a D1 football team
3) BC - Holy Cross because, well, they were big rival 50 years ago,

I would rather see an interconference rivalry like Florida/Florida State and Clemson/South Carolina have, with UConn in the B1G and BC in the ACC.
Yeah, it clearly has to be BC.

Beating BC while still a member of the AAC would fuel the rivalry fire very nicely. Beating BC after previously beating UVA and SU earlier in the season would be magnificent! 2016!

Every time I see the letters A-A-C in succession it ruins my day. Why did it have to be UConn?
