I think the people setting lines understand that even with the injuries, this team should be, at worst, the 3rd best team in this league. It has dramatically underperformed. Against UCF it played the way it should play and is capable of playing. If it plays that well against Temple, UConn wins by 10-15. If it plays even 90% it covers that 3.5. In short, they think the change is real, not a blip.

That sounds like Temple alright. You never know what you get.

We've been favored in most games this year considering the abysmal performances game after game. I think Vegas generally likes the name recognition, and UConn may be a bit of a hotter bet because of notable table running situations in the past that were generally unexpected. They aren't in the business of just predicting odds, they are selling a product. And UConn bets just tends to be a better product than most schools...

Or it's because KenPom has us at 3 point favorites and we're the name team so they bump us up a half point.
