Nika for sure, CW missed too many layups
She shot 7-11, two of the misses were threes, and had a team-leading 19 points. Christyn’s +/- was 40, best on the team by far.

Nika is winning by a landslide and I'm in agreement. CW was high scorer and looked great on some of her in the paint work but most of her scoring came long after the game was decided so a few points deducted.

I think the totals need to be shifted to the right one column.

Not as great as KLS but Caroline's pretty good. Not many in the history of WBB can claim to be as good a 3-point shooter as KLS....

Guess what both KLS and Caroline had the same 3 pt shooting percentage in their first 18 games 30.7%
KLS 31 for 101 and Caroline Ducharme 27 for 88. Plus Caroline is being asked to do more than what KLS was doing in her Freshman year.

CW had some plays that made her look like she is very much ready for the WNBA. But I'm giving my vote for the KBA award to Nika. Nika play like she was angry, very angry. A menacing gnat for sure.

CW with a very strong game, notwithstanding the frustrating turnovers. That ankle breaker move was too much. But the apology in the presser to girl she put the move on was hilarious. Perhaps she should win the Kill them with kindness award.

Nika wins for her defense and her end of presser quip re getting AD a layup at the end of the game: “everybody eats”. A great quote for a Husky!

Really? I think that the game was decided before the first quarter was over.
Not only was CW the high scorer but in the words of the female color analyst it was her "aggressive scoring" that helped set the tone. Also, CW always brings ger defensive game.

Regardless of what the “female color analyst” said, the fact is that the “tone” was well set when Uconn first went up 20 at 37-17. Of the 37, Fudd had 12, Muhl 8 and Williams 5. Williams scored 14 of her game high 19 after that and there is nothing wrong with that, I in no way am criticizing her.

Just to further question the accuracy of the comment by the “female color analyst”, at the end of Qtr1 the score was 20-9; Fudd had 7, Muhl 5, Westbrook and Williams 3, Ducharme 2.
Williams played an excellent game and I couldn’t care less about who gets a game award but in no way did she set the tone for the game with her “aggressive scoring”.
I guess my general dislike of talking heads is shining through loud and clear.

I think it bodes well that for the last few games there have been numerous players and lively debate over the KBA winner. It means that the team has learned to play well together and that they aren't relying on one or two people to carry them.
