I've been looking around for this as well. Haven't heard anything. He'll get a shot.

Other than Reyes I'd have him as THE prospect. Haven't heard anything yet though

Saw him at the spring game. He is working out at UConn.

Most NFL teams use two kickers in camp even if a guy is well established. It's just too much work for one kicker and the competition keeps them sharp. There isn't the rush on kickers like their are on other UDFAs. Hope Dave catches on somewhere.

Hoping my Skins give him a look. Can't do any worse than Gano.

i was hoping my 9ers bring him in and let him learn from the best for a bit then take over..

He just needs a tryout with the right team. His resume is solid, hopefully his agent is doing him right.

The only thing that he has working against him is that he did not do kickoffs in college, and being that most NFL rosters only have one Place Kicker....kind of a big deal

Teggart received a letter from the colts prior to the draft inviting him to their camp if he ended up going undrafted.

I get this but with the NFL Kickoff being moved up, Teggart has the leg to put it in the endzone with relatively little experience. Give him some time to work on it and he can probably boot it out the back or 9 yards deep

Des has just tweeted that Dave has been invited to a free agent tryout with the Chicago Bears. Congrats and good luck to him.

Well at least he has had success kicking in the snow and wind. Chicago should make him feel right at home. Good for him.

They are set at PK but these camp invites are a good thing. Word travels fast, so he'll be in someone's file.

He won't displace Gould, but glad he's getting a chance to show his stuff in an NFL camp. Word does travel, so I hope he does well enough to latch on somewhere. It may take some patience, though.

From the Worcester Telegram:

Former Algonquin Regional and UConn kicker Dave Teggart of Northboro has signed as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago Bears. Teggart will report to the team's rookie minicamp on Thursday.

Kickers get injured or have lousy seasons and are replaced. Even if he doesn't make a roster on opening day, he has a chance to be signed by a team later in the season. Good luck, Dave!
