With the release of Stallworth, two more have to go to get to the 12 player maximum. Based on my observations in one practice and one preseason game and looking at stats for the two Sun / Liberty games my "bubble players" are highlighted below.

Kelly Faris played a team low 8:41 in today's preseason game. I was not there and can offer no insights apart from the stats. An optimist would say that low minutes figure is because she is solid on the roster and more time was given to those more questionable... I'm not an optimist. Neither McCray nor Greene are tearing it up either so... who knows? I wish them all the best and look forward to the opener on the 16th.

Hate to say it but Kelly could be in trouble.

I was at the game today Kelly did not play much. Coach Donovan said she is going with a 7 to 8 player rotation. Based on what I saw today Kelly will not be getting a lot of playing time, neither will Greene or Cain whoever makes the team.

Tough lineup to crack. I say she makes it by a hair.

I was glad to see that Bill gave Anna Cruz a lot of playing time for the Liberty. I hope she makes it too.

BTW- I ordered my "Flex Package" tickets from the Washington Mystic yesterday. I'll be sitting right behind the visitor's bench for ten games. I get to see and hear all the visiting players up close!

I thought Kelly was a good fit for Tina and for Lawson. Not sure if she is a good fit for this team.

With regard to Kelly, the raw numbers don't give a good picture of how well (or poorly) she
may be playing on the defensive end. That could be the deciding factor in making the cut.

Well it's true about "raw numbers" , but 4 turnovers and no points is not a good sign. In the end basketball and especially theWNBA is about putting the ball in the hoop. Not sure how much room there is for specialists. I'm thinking she will probably make it because of her popularity as a UConn player but I'm thinking she will be playing very little. I' m also a big Sun fan so I hope they pick the best player and not because she's from UConn. I think Kalana has proven herself and McCray has a huge upside.

I agree with almost all of this. We've been waiting since 2011 for her potential to be realized and its been frustrating. Flashes of brilliance, but few and far between. She's healthy this season, had a good season overseas, and if she sticks she's got to produce. She was not very impressive in the first preseason game. If Danielle stays, I think Kelly goes.

Two will go.

One of Faris/Greene/McCray.
One of Cain/Pedersen.

My gut says regardless of how you spell it, if her name is Kell(e)y, she's in trouble.
