CD figured out a rotation when she filled in and they scored more than 70. — it is time to make adjustments. If Geno is still the goat he will ask for input and make some changes. Need Tina Charles to work with Dorka down low
Dorka's legs appear gassed and then an ankle sprain, they need to hit the ice bath.

The rest of the women's basketball world has caught up. While Geno and UConn were dominating the game, others took note and improved their teams. For me, it's all good as I want to watch competitive BB, not 30-point blowouts against over-matched teams. UConn has always stressed body language and in the old days you could see the difference between the Huskies and their opponents. No more. St. Johns players went into that place with confidence, feeling that they would compete. Good coaching and clutch playing. Let's give the other guys some props once in a while.
Yes indeed. Gone are the days when teams feared UConn, knowing that a 20-30 point beatdown was the order of the day, as the Huskies ALWAYS kept a can of "Whupp-ass" on hand, whether at home or on the road. Coaches and players watch SportsCenter on TV and follow WCBB on the internet. They know who is doing what, who's hot and who's not. They see South Carolina running the table this year at 27-0, ranked (preseason consensus) #1 since May of last year, followed closely by Indiana and Stanford.

They see UConn in decline this season due to its injuries, losing back-to-back games and losing to conference opponents that for years was not the case. Ask no quarter, give none. No one feels sorry for UConn and that's OK. We're NOT asking for or expecting any sympathy. This too shall pass. The ship will right itself by next season, and once again UConn should return to being the "elephant in the room", and the number one ranked team in the country based on who will come off the injured list, and who we have coming in from the class of 2027. Time heals all wounds.

In every program that recruits at the level Connecticut does There are misses you could probably pull up the top 10 teams in the country and look at the recruiting classes and go where did that girl go what happened to that girl where is this one? Many girls don’t reach their potential so it’s not like UConn is any different than most other programs that way. And you can’t count the freshman to be a big part being that they are so green And inexperienced
I agree. But lots of freshman contribute - we had 2 freshman and one soph who could not help in the eyes of our coach. That has contributed to this end of year offensive slump. Who knows. We may not recover this season.

Geno is responsible for the product on the floor. When they aren't playing well it is his job to make adjustments and get them back on track. When he has kids on his team that don't respond to his leadership style then he needs to figure out a way to lead those kids too. Right now it appears he has a couple players that were top 5 prospects who are afraid to make a mistake and he is afraid to put them in the game.

For UCONN it looks like they are going to need those players to contribute for this season to finish like it could. Geno has to adjust his attitude and he could start with not calling them out in his post game comments. I realize usually he can use one size fits all because of the depth of talent he has but this year he needs to figure out how to get the most out of kids that don't respond to his usual tactics.

Let the frownie faces begin.
