No cheat here. On Saturday I went to see Fred Hersch again who, along with Bill Charlap, are two of this guys modern representatives.

Evans is always a pleasure. Here's another take on that fine street.
The Youtube 'liner notes' say Mr. Dolphy is playing alto sax, but my ear tells me
he's cruising on bass clarinet.

Waiting on a ruling @Dove. Got about 20 songs lined up if "river" is a thoroughfare.
Nope on the river.

Man-made thoroughfare was the intent. Canal is a no, too.

Otherwise an ocean is a thoroughfare.

For alt country/country rock, the Old 97's "Too Far to Care" is one of the best albums ever IMO. They did a 15 year anniversary tour of its release and played the whole thing straight thru, caught that show. Good times.

Since non-motorized thoroughfares are allowable, gotta include this.

Appeal. Corner is the intersection of two thoroughfares (and itself is capable of being traveled) and the lyrics contemplate the street.

Jess Roden did a nice, very classy version of "On Broadway"- I just love the beginning:
