That screen pass to mccombs was one of the more successful plays. With all the blitzes we see I would like to see more of them to keep defenses honest. It would go a long way to give Whitmer time to make better decisions.

Do whatever ND did with their RB #6 (think it was) re lining up, passing to him, etc. Seemed to be able to isloate him a lot.

You would think that knowing CW had a few INTs before he got here would make screens more a part of our offense, but I'd be shocked if we threw more than 10 of those passes in 11 games.

I remember 07 was it? Which was TL's first year when we saw a lot of screen passes with the likes of Larry Taylor and Andre. It was pretty successful for us that year especially during the usf game. We really seemed to get away from it during the Moorhead oc years and slowly 1or2 a game for the first two p years. We need to do this a lot more often. Also quick hitters might help keep the heat of cw.

plus 1,000,000 on this thread. . . .all kinds of screens (bubbles to TEs) and rollouts would make this offense much more effective

Agreed on the screens to RB and bubble screens to WRs and TEs. They have run a few this year but not nearly enough during the season. Should be a play called 6 - 8 times a game as it especially works well when your offensive line has a tough time in protection for down the field throws which we do. Just don't get how you don't work these play calls into your offense. Mind boggling!
