How about everyone gets a double double? Sorry I'll miss it, but the threads are always great.

BU will be way overmatched. I was way off on the Oregon game given the run and gun offense they employ. But that helped cause UCONN to play faster too and hence the 114 points. I don't think we get that many today. BU has had some close games but lost to Northeastern, Harvard and Yale. I think this will be similar to the Hartford drubbing...

UCONN 96
BU 38

I predict double figure scoring for 6 with another double double for Stokes... Also that Stef will take no more than two 3-point attempts.

Instead of my score prediction I've started recording Sagarin's spread predictor. I'm curious how accurate his numbers are over the length of the season. For tonight's game he has #1 ranked UConn by 49 over #212 BU.

86-42 UConn. Would be a lot worse if Mosqueda-Lewis and Tuck were healthy. With three games in three days, Lawlor and Pulido will play a fair bit, perhaps 8 minutes or more, mostly in the 2nd half.

Ok, I say Polly 6, Tierney 5. On blocks, I say Kiah 7, TBS 4.

I've been following the Sagarin predictor for years and it's remarkably good. After I saw your post I checked Sagarin to see what his predicted margin of victory is for UConn-BU...44, which by some miracle is exactly the spread I predicted. I guess he must be rubbing off on me after all these years.

By-the-bye this gives me the opportunity to dump on RPI again...the current top ten, in order, for Sagarin, is a very sensible if not perfect
1.Connecticut
2 Baylor
3 Duke
4 Notre Dame
5 Maryland
6 Tennessee
7 Stanford
8 Kentucky
9 Louisville
10 Oklahoma St.

RPI has this ludicrous top ten

1.Tennessee
2 Connecticut
3 Colorado
4 Louisville
5 Baylor
6 St. Johns
7 Ohio State
8 LSU
9. Arizona St
10.Wyoming

Wyoming made it into the top ten by beating Denver and Montana St in two close games. I can't even imagine the formula you'd have to use to have them in 10th spot with a 2-0 record over those two.

Don't forget Sagarin's home field advantage. In this case it's 4.59 which puts UConn's margin at 49 points.

You're right...I forgot to check that and stand corrected.

The game will seem more competitive, as you watch, if you spot BU 50.

Hmmm. Do I pick a conservative score like 90-45 or be more extreme? Ok, let's change the digits and say 95-40. Our inside play will dominate.

95-40 tonight vs, BU and 90-45 next two games.

I guess you could say that I like our chances.
