I recently posted that it took me 20 years to get Tony to make paragraphs (you’re welcome). Anywho, that got me to thinking, who else has been here 20+ years? I personally started here in 1994 when my oldest son was a newborn and I needed a way to talk to grown-ups during the day.

Let me think.

cbiebel from McGraw’s Bench (I know you’re out there)
@ucbart (I think)
who else?

There’s a bunch more that have been here 10+ years. Roll call!

I have been posting on the Boneyard since November 2002, so I am not quite at 20 years.

But I am definitely a "long timer" - and have met a number of BYers in person (@HuskyNan , @EricLA , etc.) while regularly communicating with others on the phone and via text (@ucbart ).

First post around 2003...reading from about 2000....UConn fan since 1992.
First post was about Shamika Jackson...East Catholic HIgh in Manchester.
Saw her play and wanted her to go to UConn. Went to BC...wound up transferring to Somewhere U.
'Phil' gave me a nice welcome to the board in response.
Boneyard has been darn ...uhh...'entertaining'.

I've been around since maybe 95-96ish?

I seem to remember being on like a Courant message board, way back in the day?? Don't remember if that was part of the BY or that directed me to the BY??

I remember the BY moved around back then, but they were not able to shake me.

Is there any way to check the age of an account? Have no idea when I first signed in and posted on the board but I would guess sometime around 2005-6. I had been lurking for years prior, and had been following the women since mid 1990s. I remember the Courant based board as well.

Oh yeah, you‘ve been around too. Tried to block that from my mind :p

2005? That was, like, 3 boards ago. Rivals?

I'm not sure exactly when I joined, but I was here by the time of the men's 1999 national championship. I had somehow found the Boneyard a few weeks or months before the championship game and felt incredibly lucky and excited to be part of this wonderful online group and to be able to share my enthusiasm with other, equally enthusiastic UConn fans when we won.

I was a lurker for many years before I became a member. Being a CT ex-pat in FL, it was the best way for me to get info about my favorite teams (men and women). A tribute to the mods and all other members: it still is the best way, to this day!

I remember the Courant message board too. Was there one even before that? Not sure where it fits in the Boneyard evolution timeline, but the name "McD" comes to mind. In addition to comments, it had many useful resource links down the right-hand side.

Started hanging around the Yard at the turn of the century, mainly trying to source game copies that season from people with CPTV reception, which usually was K.B., whose daughter was a big, big fan of Sveta, iirc.
Yup. those were the days of dial-up (AOL) and VHS tapes. Good times :D
Been mostly in the background since.

Wow! I knew you had moved to the Orlando area, but I didn't realize you were that close! We should meet for lunch sometime! :D

Here's some Boneyard trivia: I happened to make a pilgrimage back home one year to attend a First Night. Don't recall what year it was, but recruits such as Liz Sherwood were to attend. I met Blakeon18 outside of Gampel handing out Boneyard business cards to raise membership. I still have the card!

{raises hand}, not sure how long, but 20+ seems accurate. Played in BYC@Keney, with Biff, JS, and our ringer, Slug25. We represented well.
Ah the inaugural (I think) BYC. 2004, Keney Park. Our team "represented" the Women's board. The jealous men's board slapped us with the moniker "Simpering Eunuchs". So we just went out and beat them all....well I use the word "we" loosely as I recall @slug25 carried us on his back for 18 holes. But a win is a win!
