Awesome news! I joined BY to follow this story. After Geno spoke out for her, I read her contract was days from expiration-she was making $135K. I bet she's getting a little more now! -)
Geno did her a solid. Good on him, good on Coach Reed.

I'm a UNCC grad too - class of '74. I hope Tomekia turns the 49ers into a powerhouse! Or at least good.My 49ers.

I'm not a UNCC alum, just I like to see the 49ers do well. They have always been a solid to above average program. As I noted on the other board, their last 4 coaches all left for bigger programs. They are two seasons removed from going to the NCAA tourney when they played in the CUSA. Its an attractive campus, in a growing area, so you should be able to recruit well enough.

Good for her and good for Geno for speaking out on behalf of a great coach at one of the HBC programs that go unnoticed because they have difficulty scheduling Top 25 games to bump their NET and other metrics. I hope UConn schedules Charlotte before Geno retires.
You'd think they could have found a picture of Geno from this century though. LOL
