The 3 are all in the top 21 of KenPom's ref ratings.
Szelc called our 7 point win at Butler. Clingan didn't play, Karaban fouled out. He called Alabama's first round win over Charleston. Szelc's last game was Purdue's win over Gonzaga. Szelc worked the Xavier game 2 years that Hurley got a tech in, but it was a different ref that called the T (though Szelc called the initial fall that led to the upset-ness). We were 4-0 in Szelc games last year.
Groover called 5 of our games this year. @Creighton, loss. Clingan with 2 fouls 5 min in. 36 point win at DePaul, the ugly foul fest at home vs. Providence (not really refs fault tho), our win home vs. Creighton, and our win vs. UNC in NYC. He called a blowout nonconference win for Alabama. Groover was on the Purdue/Tennessee elite 8 game. After the Providence game Hurley called the crew "Final Four, national championship game-caliber refs." Indeed, Groover worked the title game last year.
Adams hasn't seen us at all this year. He's called 5 Alabama games: their home loss vs. Tennessee, their 4 pt home win over Auburn, their 3 pt win at Vandy, their 11 pt neutral loss to Ohio State, and a blowout nonconference win. Adams last game was the Marquette loss. And as
@BFieldHusky mentioned, Adams was involved in ejecting Hurley/Haith in 2019 (he gave the first tech after warning both coaches a few seconds before).
