The Husky’s travel to Providence to play the Friars at Alumni Hall, the third oldest basketball arena in the Big East which sits 1,854. This should be a sellout with many UConn fans showing support for UConn. Providence is 6-11 in Big East play a full 11 games behind the Huskies. Their BE wins at home were against DePaul 72-65, Villanova 82-76 and Xavier 66-42. While their road wins were against Seton Hall 51-46, Butler 63-53 and Xavier 69-60. Their home losses are against St John’s 48-55, Georgetown 71-73, Marquette 62-66, Butler 48-55 and Seton Hall 65-71. While their road losses are against UConn 41-85, Creighton 70-81, DePaul 72-84, Georgetown 44-54, Villanova 58-68 and St. John’s 42-60. The Friars SoS by Massey is #82 and rated #132, average 59.9 points a game, while giving up 63.9 points. Their game stats average per game is 39 rebounds, 11.9 assists, 7.4 steals, 4.1 blocks, 20.3 turnovers, 41.1 FG%, 65.9 FT%, and have a 29.4 3pt%. - All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 6:45 P.M. Eastern on game day, any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted.
- The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or Providence/Friars. No predictions like "85-55 the good guys", will be accepted if there isn't a winner stated.
- If prior to the closing of the Prognosticator’s Predictions, you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post. If the request for change is submitted prior to the closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed.
- If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow Prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
- I don’t see UConn having any problems with the Friars, they will wear them down by the end of the 2nd qtr and get another conference win. UConn 90 – Providence 44.
