Cards come out aggressive. Ends up a close game with UConn pulling away late.

UCONN's weak AAC schedule finally comes home to roost. Louisville comes in with another Angel, er Asia, driven team. Her chance to make a really big splash. She does not waste it. Durr scores 51 as Louisville coasts in the 4th quarter, 87-72.

After watching Louisville torch ND the way they did it is hard for me to think that they are going to come into UCONN and lay an egg. I think UCONN wins but I believe the margin of victory will be in the 10 - 12 range after being close much of the game.

Outside of the ND anomaly, Louisville's scores have been fairly low. I think Walz knows he won't win a track meet.
So, I'm opting for a low scoring affair.
UConn 74-58. Though I could see Tony C's estimate as being closer than mine.

OK, I will bite. UConn by 81-56. Durr held to about 13 points, although Hines-Allen has 24 points and 14 rebounds. UConn gets 25 points off 18 turnovers by Louisville. Louisville has under 10 assists. Azura gets 15 points but fouls out in the third quarter. Molly Bent appears in the second quarter to rest Crystal, and Geno likes what he sees so much that he lets her play most of the rest of the game. She gets 8 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, 4 turnovers, and 2 steals.

Walz always has a secret plan. But not good enough. UConn 92-68

Jeff's secret plan is to distract our players by wearing his signature Italian restaurant tablecloth, red-and-white checkered shirt. It won't work.

Huskies 87, Lou-will-kill-ville! 61.

I don’t see Hines-Allen with 24/14 with Gabby guarding her.

Asia Durr is a fantastic player, but she's more of a scorer than a distributor. I think you'll see UConn deny her the ball all night and probably Kia, Dangerfield, and Gabby will all take a turn guarding her. I expect Geno to sag off everyone on the perimeter except Durr and Carter and clog the lane. UConn will make someone else beat them.

Jeff Walz is a smart guy. I'm not sure how I'd defend against UConn. If I had to pick my poison, I'd let Gabby and Z shoot it and try to get the UConn guards in foul trouble.

Are you sure the secret plan isn't to claw the UCONN players in the face?

Is that why Gampel is going for the checkerboard pattern instead of the more traditional whiteout?

It's going to be interesting to see how well that works.

All of us were way off in our predictions. rvwsleep was closest with a 74-58 prediction. He predicted Louisville's exact score. Congratulations to rvwsleep.
