Man I completely feel for him. It seemed like the light bulb came on and he realized how good a player he can be if he asserts himself more. My heart goes out to him and I hope that he comes back fully.
I feel really bad for Polley. You can tell how hard he works to improve. His shot, his ball skills, like night and day from freshman year. And then this happens.
Wow. Deja Vú. I always felt we could still have a successful season as long as we stayed healthy. This is a blow. Injuries doomed us the past couple of seasons. It’s trying to do that again. In disbelief
This is devastating to Tyler and the team, just devastating. We needed another bigtime recruit at guard/small forward for next season, now we need it even more.
Awful, awful news for a great kid. Our injury luck over the last 3-4 years, or lack thereof, is simply mind blowing.
We’re going to have to go small fairly often now. Bouknight is the obvious next man up, but if Sid is ever going to find his stride in a UConn uniform, now is his chance. Another idea I’d toy with is playing Gaffney/Alterique together.
That’s a big loss but for now we can hope it results in Bouk becoming a major contributor faster and/or the resurgence of Sid Wilson. I don’t consider this injury the end of any hope for this team to get it together. We still have guys with ability that aren’t playing up to their potential that might step up.
Feel bad for Tyler Phommachanh though. He looked good the other night.
