This is straightforward. UConn has played three premier OOC opponents: Stanford, Notre Dame, and South Carolina. There was one (possibly fluky) loss, and there were two convincing wins.

Given that, who do you think UConn will face again in the tourney? Would it be in a regional bracket, or more likely in the Final Four? And whatever you think is going to happen, how do you feel about it?

I am REALLY looking forward to a rematch with Stanford.

The greatest same-season rematch occurred in 1968. First, on January 20, 1968 between UCLA and Houston. UCLA (with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, then Lew Alcindor) met Houston (With Elvin Hayes) in the game of the century in the Astrodome in Houston. Houston won, 71-69, Alcindor apparently injured his eye leading to his eventual choice of protective goggles for the rest of his basketball career. UC LA saw its 47-game winning streak end! But they were re-matched in the final four and UCLA won 101-69, en route to another national championship.

Unfortunately, with Stanford's losses, they will probably not reach the final four, and a trip to Albany seems unlikely with WCBB's predilection for keeping as many schools as possible close to home
